The EBB was a temporary FCC program to help families and households struggling to afford internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) program has ended. It was replaced by the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) on December 31, 2021.
The EBB provided a temporary discount on monthly broadband bills for qualifying low-income households. It also provided a one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet purchased through a participating provider.
Households enrolled in the EBB Program as of December 31, 2021, continued to receive their monthly benefit during a 60-day transition period before transitioning to the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP).
While the EBB is closed, you may still be eligible for other programs like Lifeline if you participated in EBB.
